Safari in the City // Photo Diary

Fact of the day: Nairobi is the only city in the entire world with a national park!!

One of the things I love most about Nairobi is that you get the best of both worlds. One one side, you have the booming urban core, and on the other, you have the beautiful wildlife 🙂

Nairobi National Park is actually Kenya’s first national park & its always busy everytime i go.Its like a mini maasai mara just outside the city 🙂 Tourists come from all over the world  to experience the breathtaking beauty of the park, a park which many of us Nairobians take for granted.  I am one of these people because sometimes I get so wrapped up in everything I have to do that I forget how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful and unique city.

I thought it would be nice to share some pictures from the last visit I made to the park 🙂

“The only man I envy is the man that has not yet been to Africa, for he has so much to look forward to”

Tip: If you ever visit the park, try your harderst not to go in the middle of the day. This is because at that time, most of the big cats are half asleep/resting. So if you want all the action, make sure you visit early in the morning or in the evening!
